It was in the low 70’s today and we took the horses for a ride in the nearby redwood forest. I had prepared a post on the holiday season, blah, blah, blah…it bored me. So instead, here is some real magic for you. A tour of the winter woods here in coastal California, riding a good horse. This is the forest of Nisene Marks, near Aptos, California, today. The palomino ears are my horse, Sunny. My son is riding the sorrel Henry and our friend Wally is on gray Twister. As you can see, we crossed creeks, bridges and tricky bits of trail. The horses were just perfect. We had a lovely ride. I hope you can enjoy it vicariously. Happy Holidays!
